Whew! That was swift! We just blogged about it being banned and before the day was out, the TikTok ban was lifted quickly due to a combination of legal and executive actions:

On Friday, the Supreme Court upheld a law that effectively banned TikTok in the U.S., which meant the ban was set to take effect by Sunday (today), and DID!

President-Elect Donald Trump's Assurance

President-Elect Trump announced that he planned to issue an executive order to postpone the ban immediately after his inauguration He provided assurances to TikTok's service providers, stating they would not face penalties for keeping the app operational.

Service Restoration

Following Trump's announcement and assurances, TikTok started working with its service providers to restore its services. Apparently by afternoon today, most users had regained access to the platform, including myself, although it was still missing from app stores 

The quick actions and clear communication from President-Elect Trump's team played a significant role in reversing the ban and ensuring that TikTok could continue to operate in the United States
